Most designers build depth within a single context, a single market, or a single company. The Immersion Program exists to widen that frame. It gives designers direct exposure to new cities, design cultures, systems, and conversations that are hard to encounter in everyday work
Immerse. Experience. Learn.
From design ecosystems across global cities.

THE PROGRAM
• • • • • • •
EPC Immersion is a curated program for designers and design leaders built around cities with thriving design cultures. Each edition offers curated access, moderated sessions, local design exchange, and guided exercises to help participants engage deeply with the city’s design ecosystem.
Transform in ways that meaningfully shape your design practice.
An evolved designer with richer perspectives of the world
The city is the program
Through design events, local engagements, and a highly intentional itinerary, participants experience how design shows up across the city’s public life, institutions, businesses, culture, and everyday systems.
What to expect during the immersion
Curated access
Visits and engagements with successful studios, organisations, and practitioners across the city.
Culture in context
Design is embedded in the city, showing up in many forms across public life, business, institutions, and everyday culture.
A cohort that experiences, thinks, and leaves together
Shared context makes the conversations broader, deeper, and the experiences more layered.
Experience without reflection rarely changes practice
Through daily debriefs and structured conversations, you reflect, exchange perspectives, and retain the experience more deeply.
Specially designed itinerary
The itinerary is intentionally designed to maximise your time in the city, with no standard tourist stops in the program.
Participation in Moonshot Assembly and other EPC events
EPC hosts events in cities that bring together designers and design leaders from that city.

Who is the Immersion Program for?
It is best suited for mature practitioners. The ideal participant is someone who already has enough experience to benefit from deeper context, stronger conversations, and a more layered way of learning.
What kinds of places do participants visit?
That depends on the city, but includes studios, design-driven companies, exhibitions, museums, public spaces, cultural institutions, architecture, and other places that help participants understand the city through design. Many editions are planned around major design festivals in the city so participants experience the ecosystem when it is most active.
Will I be moving through the city alone or with the group?
The Immersion Program is built as a cohort experience. While some free time may exist, the core of the program is shared.
How long is an immersion?
The duration varies by city and edition typically runs for 5-10 days. Most programs are designed as multi-day experiences.
What do participants need to arrange on their own?
Stay, visa, flights, local travel, and meals are not included unless explicitly stated for a specific edition. Once selected, participants receive guidance on the city, recommended stay area, and practical travel information. Participants can opt to stay together which in most cases will be more economical. EPC may recommend areas so the cohort can stay within a practical radius.
Can I join only part of the program?
The program is designed as a complete experience. Partial participation is not available.
